Argassi used to be a district of Zakynthos Town but has now grown into a resort in its own right and is one of the most popular for holidaymakers on the island. It is built on a verdant plain at the foot of Mount Skopos and has a narrow strip of sandy beach stretching over 1km along the coast of the resort, so you are never far from the sea.
The coastal road has many bars and nightclubs which is perfect for the young and lively. Due to the location of Argassi it is possible to take a walk from the resort into Zakynthos Town where you can visit the many historical sights, museums, churches and of course the shops!
